The main solution to end poverty in Africa is to overcome government failure. Government failure doesn't necessarily mean that they don't know what they're doing or that they are incompetent. It just means they lack help in different aspects, and that they maybe don't help enough with the economy; that is becoming possibly worse with each passing day. There's government failure in health care, water supply, sanitation, electricity, transport, labor markets and trade policy. Despite everything, it is very difficult to overcome government failure. Another possibility that may be efficient is to reach out to the poor - that are losing out on many things - and entitle them with information; about protective import tariffs and cost of labor, water subsidies and the incidence of energy, and the last absence rate of teachers and doctors. Knowing this information will possibly enable the people in poverty to bring pressure to bear on politicians. Many people ask "how is this even going to help?" , but politicians can afford to ignore technical advisers and external actors, but when it comes to the citizens and their country; ignoring cannot be accepted. It could be hard to empower the people in poverty with this information, because many of them are busy trying to provide money for their families, or even keeping with their children at home. A solution to this would maybe be town meeting, or radio telling's. But this isn't really straight forward. We need to promote these people access to information Another possible solution is that people that live elsewhere, other than Africa can donate money to these children in poverty. There are many organizations online that enable people from around the world to do that. Beyond this point there is not much one can do, except to do this. And also try to overcome government failure. N.p., n.d. Web.
In 2015 specialists haven't been really focused on the role of the geographic characteristics to explain why there is little to no economic growth and also poverty in Africa. In many developing countries there are an imbalance that pose the problem of redistribution of wealth. "Africa is simply too poor to redistribute anything." That statement isn't entirely true because Africa holds many natural resources, but an example would be that many multinational companies that remove these resources don't even pay any taxes to the county where the people that get to keep all revenues to itself. Poverty in Africa is paradoxical - it's both rich and poor - Africa holds 54 countries that have low population density and rich I natural resources. S expected the resources aren't distributed or exported within other regions, countries, and local populations. The countries of Africa are separated into sections of rich and poor resources, and into coastal and landlocked ones. Most of these countries have remained with a GDP capita below 2,000 dollars for the past six decades. Africa is in a tragic need to tailored development - which is similar to developing exceptional leadership - Unlike other continents, Africa has a large population that lives in landlocked, where resources are scarce, which is only one percent of the overall growth rate. Many think that policy makers should focus more on context based development strategies rather than continental ones. These kind of countries are the ones that would need more targeting, continuous aid flow in order to raise consumption levels, in which would consistently decrease poorness in Africa . Although today's aid flows only focus on short-term emergencies. And it's sad living in poverty with little per capita income, and scare resources an emergency. What Africa needs is targeted funding that provides new opportunities and some motivation or encouragement for people to participate in the development of their country. Humanitarian remains too vague, inly the most concrete and effective programs should remain. In particular those that help out with those in poverty , education, sanitation, medicine for major diseases etc. "Causes of Poverty in Africa: Lost Continent or Land of Opportunities?" RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 17 Nov. Many assumes that the government should be focused on providing the essential resources that Africa needs in order to survive. But the government is actually working their way to try and help. The government funded many programs and support for those in Africa. The government thinks the most important quality to try and get rid of poverty in Africa is either democratization or marketization. They cannot do both because of particular reasons; but they are taking each step at a time, to try and help in the best way possible.
Democratization is important to African poverty because it has increases the opportunities for bilateral and multilateral aid agencies to influence policy making in the region; and it is the most widely accepted in international relations. Democratization is the transition to a more democratic political government. It may be the transition from an authoritarian government to a full democracy, a transition from an authoritarian political system. It may be a transition from a semi-authoritarian political system to a democratic political system. In which this case he government will help Africa to transition from a semi political system to a democratic system. Even though the government is lending out a hand for help, they still haven't really dine anything to help out with poverty, - except their funded programs; but that only does so little. - the government is actually having a difficult time in deciding which needs their help more between democratization or marketization, in sense of enabling people to take part in the countries life. So lets hope the government will come to a final decision choosing between the two, (democratization or marketization) so Africa's people won't be struggling to live a decent and sanitary life. But Dumbo says that school isn't going so well for him right now... just because he doesn't have enough money to buy soap for washing his school uniform. This shows how children poverty is such a huge impact on children's learning and also hygiene. It's a terrible thing to go through, wanting to become something successful in life, but not being able to go to school to fulfill that dream, and its not by choice.
Over the last 30 years, throughout the world absolute poverty has fallen immensely from about 40% to under 20%. But in African countries the percentage has barely fallen. Still today, over 40% of people living in sub-Saharan Africa live in absolute poverty, and that's only part of Africa, imagine the other nations of Africa combined percentage as a whole. Poverty is sometimes more about how society shares money rather than how much money there is in all. Some African countries are very poor, but other have more and better resources (often from oil) with a lot of inequalities between their citizens. Some people are unconcerned of poverty and starvation in Africa. Others suggest that more political initiative - a fresh approach to something or assessing things independently - is needed. The situation is very complicated to many people. Each African country has a unique history, and today faces unique challenges. Development efforts require many different parts of society working together towards the same goals. In reality, this is hard to achieve.
Education A lot of kids in poverty lack education. Only because many children have to stop going to school to get a job so they can help their parents out; which leaves them with out any literacy or numerical skills. Education is an important aspect in children's lives, it helps children find out what they want to do in the nearly future. Education can be the catalyst needed to pull families and communities out the cycle of poverty. Knowledge gives children the power to dream of a better future and the confidence needed to pursue full education, which in turn will help generations to come. Education is a key roll in which improves food security and reduces malnutrition. When learning about agriculture and farming techniques, they can earn the ability to know what's healthy for oneself, and maybe with enough money be able to farm their own crops. Education also improves standards of health. The ability to read also is important in educating communities about clean water and sanitation, particularly if families need to use filters or boil water before drinking it to avoid waterborne illness. Education also improves the reduction of the spread of communicable diseases. The spread of disease in developing countries is often exacerbated by a lack of public knowledge about hot it is transmitted in 2014 and 2015, youth groups in West frica helped spread the world about prevention of the Ebola virus. Education also improves gender equity. Educating children; boys and girls helps them empower future decisions like marriage and future careers. "
Children poverty is one of the main issues many nations are facing; especially in South Africa. Children poverty refers to the phenomenon of children living in poverty. This applies to children that come from poor families or orphans being raised with limited, or in some cases absent; state resources. Such as, good sanitation, cleansing water, food, medical equipment, medicine, clothing, and even living conditions in the house hold.
South Africa is now judged to be one of the most unequal societies in the world. The 19 million children living there bear the worst part of the "disconnect" to other countries. Meaning the children and their families have to deal with the poverty without much help from other countries. About 63 percent- more than half- of South African children live in poverty. Living in such conditions can affect their physical, cognitive; which is a mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, or emotional development. Unicef report found that 1.4 million children live in homes that rely on often dirty streams for drinking water, 1.5 million have no flushing lavatories, 1.7 million live in shacks; with no proper bedding, cooking, or washing facilities. On top of all these things, 4 in 10- or rises to 7 in 10 when things get extremely serious- live in homes where no one is employed. "As a result, we are awash with policies but there's no political will or competence at a local level to implement them. The facts speak for themselves: if we don't invest in our children now, we might as well give up on our future." One of the main issues in the world, but not looked upon as much as it should be. Poverty in South Africa is something no child should go through. There are many things other nations can do to help them, but as said earlier; South Africa is treated unequally. I just hope in the future improvements could be made so children in poverty could no longer be in these conditions and suffer. All could finally know what living a happy and healthy life.
